Registering a Domain

To own a .com.au or .net.au domain name, you must be an Australian registered company or a business with a registered business number .
The domain name you order should be an exact match, acronym or abbreviation of the supplied business registration, or it should bear a close and substantial connection to the domain name.

To qualify for these domains, you must be a "non-commercial organisation".
Domains can be 2 to 63 letters. Words can be separated by hyphens but not by spaces.
The domain name you order should be an exact match, acronym or abbreviation of the supplied business registration, or it should bear a close and substantial connection to the domain name.
If you register a brand-name or company name which belongs to another company as a domain name, we reserve the right to cancel the registration. Furthermore, you will be liable for any costs incurred as a result of the registration.

Transferring a Domain
Transferring your domain name to Star 3 media is simple and free. To transfer a Domain to Star 3 Media you will need to fill in the domain transfer form and obtain the domain password for your domain. If you do not know what the domain password is, you will need to request this from your current domain registrar.
Depending on who your current registrar is, you may be able to recover the domain password automatically by logging in to your account.
Transferring a domain can take up to 10 working days.
In order for Star 3 Media to complete your domain name transfer request, we require transfer approval from you (the domain's official Administrative Contact). You will receive an email confirming transfer to us. You need to accept this before we can complete your transfer.
When the transfer is complete, you will receive a confirmation email.
Changing ownership of domain
Changing ownership of a domain name is a permanent function. You will not be able to change the ownership back once you have made the change.
To change the ownership of a domain name, Star 3 Media must reset your domain name license. This effectively means your registration period starts from the day it is reset, any previous registration period will be lost. Charges do apply.
