What is website hosting?
Web hosting is the process of putting your web site on a web server or web host, so everyone connected to the Internet can see it.
What type of websites can you host?
We have both Microsoft and Linux servers.
What if I go over my disk space?
Star 3 Media monitors usage very month. The first time you go over disk space you will be advised of this and asked to reduce the disk space. After that extra usage charges will apply or you will need to go onto a higher hosting package. |

How long will it take for my website to be built?
This varies for each project depending on the size of the website. Generally a website can be built in 6 weeks. If you have a deadline that we need to hit, we need this advised as soon as possible so that we can plan for it. The most common delay in the completion of a new site is waiting for content (text and images) to be given to us by the client.
In what format should I supply wording and pictures etc?
Electronic format is best. The wording can be sent to us in MS Word.
How do I update my website?
All websites we build come with a CMS (Content Management System). You can then update and add products and pages to your website.
Do you provide hosting services for my website?
Yes you can arrange to host your website on one of our web servers. Click here for information on our hosting packages
Can I get email addresses with my website?

Is training provided on the CMS (Content Management System?)
Yes. We provide an hour training on the CMS and every website comes with a manual in both hard and soft copy. The manual is to supplement your training and is a hand reference guide.
Do you redesign existing websites?
Yes we can re-design existing websites however we need to ensure that the website structure (menu positioning and layout) remains the same to ensure that we can use your existing content management system and just re-design the look and feel.
Can I register a Domain Name through Star 3 Media?
Yes absolutely! Domain registration is important. Visit our Domain Name Registration page where you can search for available domain names and register them.
Who owns the website and website design once it's completed?
The website belongs to you. If you are not hosting your website with us we will provide you with a copy of your website on CD.
How do I see the design of my website?
A concept will be provided for approval, showing style and colour. Design changes not implemented during this initial concept approval stage or excessive changes may be subject to variation fee. Items not mentioned within this proposal will be considered variations. Variations should be discussed with the art director before implementing.
Do you write the content for my website?
No, but we can. Clients are more than capable of providing their own content, but if that is just too hard we do offer a copywriting service. |
